UPC-abertis chair in the Management of Transport Infrastructures

The UPC-abertis chair in the Management of Transport Infrastructures, created by abertis in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, develops applied research work and gives specialised courses and seminars aimed at professionals in the sector.

The director of the chair, Francesc Robusté, is a doctor in Civil Engineering from the UPC, professor in Transport at the same university and director of the Transport Innovation Centre (CENIT), also at the UPC. He is president of the Spanish Forum on Transport Engineering (FIT) and author of more than 250 scientific publications on Transport Engineering.

With regard to fostering research, the UPC-abertis chair calls for entries every year for the abertis Award in the Management of Transport Infrastructures, open to students from all Spanish universities. The prize consists of a fund of 4,000 euros and the publication of the winning project.
